Role Overview
The Digital Delivery & Production Lead is a senior leadership role within the company, responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Journey’s digital products and services across both Agency and Product functions.
This role oversees medium to large-scale client programmes, ensuring successful website and brand delivery, retained digital engagements, and EMS and eCommerce implementations. The postholder is accountable for ensuring all projects - across Agency and Product - are delivered on time, within scope, commercially sound, and aligned to clearly defined client outcomes.
Acting as the senior client escalation point for delivery-related matters, the role ensures cross-functional teams deliver efficiently and to a high standard. The position owns performance across CSAT (Customer Satisfaction), Time to Value (TTV), profitability, and operational excellence.
This is both a strategic and operational leadership role, balancing client engagement, commercial discipline, production oversight, product implementation governance, and scalable delivery systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Agency Digital Delivery & Production Leadership
Oversee end-to-end internal production of all Agency projects, managing schedules (sprints) and ensuring deliverables meet briefs and deadlines.
Allocate resources efficiently across design, development, and content teams.
Monitor milestones, resolve bottlenecks, and mitigate risks proactively.
Maintain quality control across projects, ensuring websites are optimised for performance, accessibility, conversion, and SEO.
Ensure seamless coordination between designers, developers, content teams, and senior leaders.
Report on delivery performance, profitability, utilisation, and project health.
Work with the Development Technical team to ensure launched websites achieve ‘Good’ Google PageSpeed scores across desktop and mobile.
Product Implementation & Production Oversight
Own the end-to-end implementation of EMS and eCommerce products across new and existing clients.
Oversee medium to large-scale digital delivery programmes from discovery through go-live and optimisation.
Ensure product implementations deliver measurable value within agreed timelines (including TTV accountability).
Create structured onboarding and implementation frameworks to drive adoption and long-term retention.
Work closely with Product, Technical, and Commercial teams to align roadmap, scope, and delivery capability.
Identify delivery risks early and lead mitigation strategies.
Collaboration & Communication
Ensure clear communication of project progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery expectations.
Collaborate with Creative, Marketing, Tech, and Commercial teams to align production with overarching business strategy.
Support the Director of Services in systems reviews, comparison specs, and gap analysis for potential tooling or platform changes.
Client Experience & Escalation Leadership
Act as the senior escalation point for all delivery-related client issues.
Lead complex or high-risk client conversations when required.
Ensure transparent communication of progress, risks, and dependencies.
Quality Control & Compliance
Ensure all projects meet client briefs, usability standards, and applicable legal requirements (including GDPR, accessibility compliance, and relevant data privacy regulations).
Own and enforce a structured QA process, ensuring 100% of web and product implementation projects undergo formal quality assurance before launch.
Conduct final pre-deployment checks on websites and digital products prior to go-live.
